In partnership with FETV Hub New York, Brendance & Crusader Ltd will make the lush, green capital of Akwa Ibom State become the epicenter of beauty, culture, and ambition as it welcomes the 14th edition of Mr. & Miss Nigeria International pageant. Paired with the fiery spectacle of the Inferno Runway Reality Show, the city transforms into a carnival of fashion, performance, and dreams in motion.

Young men and women from all 36 states in Nigeria will compete and bring not only poise and charisma but also the aspirations of their communities. They bring with them stories from Jos to Port Harcourt, from Lagos to Maiduguri and will dazzle on the red carpet as they exemplify a Nigeria that is always reinventing itself on stage.

From Uyo to the Global Stage

Uyo’s Mr. & Miss Nigeria International has developed into a platform for talent with worldwide influence. In 2024, Mr Nigeria International Samuel Nwajagu became the first Black African to win Mr International, making history in Bangkok. In the meantime, Miss Nigeria International Giwa Steve Greatness has used her position to mentor young girls at home and promote Nigerian culture overseas. These winners demonstrate that the path from Ibom Hall may lead to international prominence and platforms.

Prospects for 2025

This October 19th, the question isn’t simply who will win but who will rise above the flames. Expect show-stopping couture from rising Nigerian designers, electrifying performances from guest artists, and a cultural showcase where traditional fabrics meet avant-garde fashion. The Inferno Runway will fuse with the pageant’s prestige to create a spectacle that is equal parts glamorous and unforgettable—just as Manila lights up for Miss Universe or Rio de Janeiro explodes for Carnival.

Why Uyo?

Hosting the event here is no accident. Known as Nigeria’s “city of hospitality”, Uyo is fast becoming a cultural tourism hotspot. Its leafy boulevards, modern resorts, and culinary riches make it the perfect stage for a national event with international ambitions.

Stay: Guests can luxuriate at the Ibom Icon Golf Resort, enjoy urban chic at Monty Suites, or opt for boutique guesthouses across town.

Taste: Uyo’s cuisine is a feast—think steaming plates of Afang soup, fisherman’s pepper soup, and fresh seafood straight from the Atlantic.

See: Beyond the pageant, explore Ibeno Beach—West Africa’s longest sandy beach—wander the breezy Uyo Marina, or delve into history at the National Museum Uyo.

More Than a Pageant

Like the Rose of Tralee, Mr & Miss Nigeria International has grown into a cultural festival with real economic and emotional weight. For contestants, it’s a rite of passage; for Uyo, it’s a beacon of tourism and pride; for Nigeria, it’s a reminder of the creative fire that refuses to dim.

When the lights dim at Ibom Hall and the spotlight falls on the winners, crowns won’t only be awarded but will be the beginning of legacies.
