The Most Beautiful Waterfalls In Africa

Agbokim waterfalls are situated in the Etung local government area of Cross River State in south-eastern Nigeria, very close to its border with Cameroon. The waterfalls are about 15 km from Ikom and 320 km from Calabar. 

According to verbal history, the waterfall was discovered in the early 1990s by a hunter named NTAKUM.

The waterfall is one of the many waterfalls found within the region. It has a distinct feature which sets it apart from other attractions. It’s located in the dip of the tropical rainforest.

This is a spectacular falling sheet of water, attractive and impressive tourist spots and a highly recommended place for picnics, it has a rocky terrain that allows tourist and visitors to climb up the waterfall.

Agbokim Waterfalls which consists of seven streams, each cascading over steep cliff which provides seven-faced falls. This known as the seven wonders.

The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, valleys and steep hills which are enveloped in a rainbow-like aura. Its freshness is captivating and has an alluring serenity.

Agbokim Waterfalls is most spectacular during the rainy season when on a lucky day you have a chance to see the rainbow across the face of the waterfall.
